Hi Everyone! This is my LifeDrive story and how being on the LifeDrive team has influenced my life.
As a graphic design major, I never would have predicted that I would be on a medical device start-up team like LifeDrive, nor did I realize the impact that it would have on me and my future goals.
Looking back to my first encounter with John, I had no idea what an impact he would have on my life. John and I met in the Summer of 2019 during band camp, his freshman year and my junior year. I thought John was a very kind-hearted individual, but I had no idea why or to what extent. Shortly after meeting John, he told me about his dad, Shawn, and his dad’s experience with ALS and the program he created to help his father improve his quality of life and drive his wheelchair with his eyes. Time passed, and I continued to hear periodically about the program which was originally called EyeDriving, but it wasn’t until I officially joined the LifeDrive team in the Spring of 2021 that I learned its true impact. This is not just a wheelchair add-on; it improves lives, and since working on LifeDrive, it has been this idea that fascinates me most.
LifeDrive has made me realize the true value of medical devices and how much one simple device can improve the quality of one’s life.
LifeDrive has guided me towards my future goals and has given me the opportunity to seek out new career paths. For years, I wanted to become a teacher, but now I want something far different. Because of some of my past experiences, as well as my experiences with LifeDrive, I want to be a Medical Device Sales Rep. LifeDrive has made me realize the true value of medical devices and how much one simple device can improve the quality of one’s life. And, I want to be able to do just that. Not only has LifeDrive given me the opportunity to recognize this, it has also given me the opportunity to grow in my knowledge of medical terms and has given me direct access to the medical fieHi Everyone! Ultimately, LifeDrive has had a huge impact on my life, and I am grateful to be on such a worthwhile team, and I am excited to see where we can go in the future.
